Immediate Placement Implants

Immediate Placement Implants

Immediate placement implants have become a referent as regards treatments to recover lost dental pieces, making it easier, faster and more reliable to recover your smile and your dental health.

1. What are Immediate Placement Implants?

An immediate placement implant is an implantology treatment that allows patients to recover lost tooth in only one day. With this technique we are able to recover one or several dental pieces, giving back functionality and aesthetics to your mouth.

At Marbella Dental Arts Clinic we are specialists in immediate placement implant. This is why at our clinic we will place the definitive implants and crowns or the temporary replacements depending on the situation in just one session.

2. Are immediate placement implants important for me?

Most patients are able to use immediate placement implants as long as they meet the following requirements:

  • Have enough bone and in good condition (in some cases, immediate load can be performed in patients with very little bone left, but this is something the specialist in dental implants will consider at the clinic).
  • The patient must have good oral hygiene habits and must brush his teeth at least three times a day after treatment.
  • There should be no gingival and periodontal disease in adjacent teeth. If any of these diseases are detected in the adjacent teeth, the patient must undergo the corresponding treatments before the implant.
  • The patient should not suffer from bruxism.
  • The patient must have a proper occlusion, where the teeth of the upper jaw slightly overlap the lower ones.

In any case when requesting the previous check-up and free estimate the specialist will decide whether these type of implants is the suitable one for the patient depending on the medical results obtained from the previous check-up.

3. Advantages of Immediate Placement Implants

This type of implants present many advantages compared to traditional treatments:

  • In just one session you will recover all the missing pieces: implants + crowns.
  • We reduce treatment by 6 and 8 weeks. You don't need to wait for the implant to be placed after the crown.
  • There is no need for the patient to use uncomfortable removable braces, which facilitates adjustment of the mouth and the gum to the definitive prostheses.
  • You will recover masticatory function immediately.
  • The difference in price compared to a traditional transplant is minimum.
  • You will recover your smile and oral health faster.

The immediate load dental implant treatment is completely safe, predictable and reliable, but it is important to bear in mind the requirements mentioned above.

Unitary Dental Implant

Implante Dental Marbe

If you are missing only one tooth.

There are many people missing a tooth either due to ageing, diseases such as decay, accidental trauma or other factors. This creates a potential impact at an aesthetic and functional level, which can affect the self-esteem of patients and their personal and professional relationships.

The dental implant is a replacement tooth that feels, functions and looks the same as the lost tooth. It is an artificial replacement of the tooth root, which will then serve as a base for dental crowns.

Some of the advantages of opting for dental implants are:

 – They are made of titanium by Nobel-Biocare, a leading brand, the finest in dental implants, a biocompatible material that permits seamless integration to the jawbone.

 – The treatment is quite fast and minimally invasive.

 – The stability is perfect, since they are anchored to the bone.

 – They are extremely durable when properly cared for.

 – It does not affect the adjacent teeth, unlike with dentures.

 – It feels just like another tooth, you’ll never notice it is there.

Oral Restoration

rehabilitación oral completa

If you are missing all your teeth or all the teeth of one jaw. (+)

Complete oral restoration means replacing all the teeth in the mouth, from either the upper or lower dental arches or both.

Traditionally, dentures were used, but these are uncomfortable and not advisable. Today this procedure is done with dental implants, that is, by implanting fixed artificial teeth.

There are different procedures for a complete oral rehabilitation, including:

– Implants on all teeth: all missing teeth are restored with dental implants. This is the most expensive procedure, since it requires 8, 10 or 12 dental implants.

– All-On-Four: this procedure is carried out simply by implanting a fixed dental prosthesis on four implants. This is the best choice in value.

– Zygomatic implants: whether you have no jaw bone or just bone loss, the solution is zygomatic implants. This is very similar to the above procedure, except that the implants are embedded in the zygomatic bone.

Boneless Implants

Whether you have no jaw bone or just bone loss, the solution is zygomatic implants.

As dental implant specialists in Marbella, sometimes we are presented with a situation where the patient does not have enough bone to support dental implants. The solution in this case is to use

zygomatic implants, which are embedded in the zygomatic or malar bone.

Other times zygomatic implants are used in the treatment of patients with atrophic jaws, maxillary defects, severe resorption of the jaw bone or implant loss situations.

Dental Implants

If you are missing two or more teeth.

There are many people missing a tooth either due to ageing, diseases such as decay, accidental trauma or other factors. This creates a potential impact at an aesthetic and functional level, which can affect the self-esteem of patients and their personal and professional relationships.

When you have lost several teeth it is not always necessary to replace each one with a separate dental implant. For example, sometimes four adjacent missing teeth can be replaced with two implants and four crowns to achieve the optimal effect both aesthetically and economically.

If many teeth are missing, there are two options available: either replace the missing teeth with dental implants, or extract the remaining natural teeth and perform a complete oral rehabilitation.

Consequently, an individual study of the patient will be required to determine the best course of action.
